STAT 5700 - Probability

Undergraduate course, Villanova Department of Mathematics and Statistics, 2026

Undergraduate introductory statistics course covering basics of statistical probability, including basic counting rules and set theory, expectations, variance, and covariance of random variables, discrete and continuous probability distributions, moment generating functions, multivariate probability distributions, conditional and joint probability, independence, and transformations of random variables. (~20 students). Taught in Spring 2026, Fall 2025

STAT 4310 - Stat Methods

Undergraduate course, Villanova Department of Mathematics and Statistics, 2026

Undergraduate introductory statistics covering a variety of important statistical concepts and analyses, including data collection, summarizing data, probability, estimating parameters, testing hypotheses, simple linear regression, and ANOVA. The methods learned in this class underpin most important areas of statistics for scientific research and for future statistics and data-oriented classes. (~30 students) Taught in Spring 2026.

STAT 3616 - Biological Statistics II

Undergraduate introductory statistics course covering analysis of variance, categorical data analysis, non-parametric tests, simple linear regression, multiple regression, and logistic regression with applications in biological sciences. Biweekly 75-minute lectures (71 students). Taught in Fall 2024.

Introduction to Python

Short course, Virginia Tech Explore Data Science Camp, 2024

Created and delivered an interactive introductory Python course for 11th-12th Graders covering the basics of Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and Exploratory Data Analysis, 2-hour course, two sections of 28 students. Taught in Summer 2024.

STAT 4707 - Probability and Statistics for Engineers II

Undergraduate service course, Virginia Tech Department of Statistics, 2024

Undergraduate introductory statistics course covering sampling distributions, estimation, hypothesis testing, simple linear regression, multiple regression, and one-way analysis of variance with applications in engineering. Six-week online asynchronous course, 25 students. Taught in Summer 2024.

Model Selection in R SAIG Short Course

Short course, Virginia Tech, SAIG, 2023

Instruction of short course covering multiple linear regression basics, model diagnostics, and model selection techniques in R, 2-hour hybrid course, 13 students. Taught in Fall 2023.

Data Science for Leaders Training

External course, Virginia Tech, SAIG, 2021

Co-created and delivered an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) data science for leaders course in conjunction with the MITRE Corporation covering the basics of statistics, data visualization, hypothesis testing, machine learning and more. This series includes 893 PowerPoint Slides in 41 separate topic modules. Total length of the videos recorded exceeds 30 hours of recorded material. Funded by the IRS through MITRE and the Statistical Application and Innovations Group at Virginia Tech. Developed and taught from Spring 2021 - Fall 2021.
